The Ponoka and District Chamber of Commerce and Town of Ponoka, in response to provincial health directives last week, made the decision to postpone the Santa Claus Parade and Tree Lighting. This was not a decision made lightly, and we will continue to follow the advice of provincial health officials. The Chamber of Commerce made the decision to continue the fireworks as we knew people needed some enjoyment and the fireworks can be enjoyed from the safety of one's own home or vehicle.
